In collaboration with the Regional Rice Value Chain Project (RRVCP), Apex Bank concluded a training workshop on Islamic microfinance from May 28 – 30, 2025 in Bo. The workshop equipped farmers and stakeholders with skills in:

Agribusiness finance
Islamic financial literacy
Value chain-specific microloans
The initiative is backed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to provide ethical, non-interest loans tailored to Sierra Leone’s rice farming regions Torma Bum, Mambolo, and Samu.
Facilitated by Inclusive Resource Management (IRM), the training also focused on building RFI capacity to develop simplified Islamic products for their communities. This is a landmark step toward sustainable and inclusive financial services in line with Islamic principles.
